The Business Opportunity
There is a large,
international business opportunity to transform legacy applications
to the new standards of Java & .NET. The Metex Transformation
partner program allows a wide range of organizations to capitalize
on this opportunity and increases the value that the partners
and Metex deliver to the market.
There are tens of
thousands of organizations around the world that are running
legacy applications. Each year many of these applications are being
phased out or upgraded to Java or .NET. In most cases a complete manual rewrite is
impractical from a perspective of time, cost and practical
reality.
That's where METEX Partners come in.
The Metex Partner Program
Metex partners around the world leverage
our transformation technology to help address the transformation requirements of customers in
many diverse business sectors and geographical locations.
We collaborate with our partners to maximize the
contribution of each company's unique strengths and business model -- all with
the aim of providing better and more complete solutions to our common
customers. All of our partners are experienced enterprises that offer sales,
marketing and technical services complemented by a direct sales force. Many
have deep experience in specific vertical markets in addition to a solid
technical knowledge of Metex's transformation capabilities. Our partners can be
grouped into two categories:
- Sales/Business Partners: These firms resell the Metex Transformation Solution, primarily
in international markets or within specific vertical markets.
They explore the market, generate interest and enthusiasm
about Metex transformation solutions, evaluate potential customer
opportunities, handle ongoing sales activities, and close
sales with the help of Metex's sales and technical staff
where necessary. Metex consultants then work directly with
the customer (and the business partner as needed)
to complete the actual transformation project.
- Transformation Partners: These firms, usually large systems integrators or consulting
firms, bring Metex into their projects as a subcontractor
to deliver larger-scale application modernization projects
where application transformation is but one part of a much broader
goal that also includes architecture redesign, database
transformation, etc. Our transformation partners usually provide overall
project management and coordination of the technical implementation,
as well as delivery of the non-transformation consulting and
development tasks within the complete project.
